Meet the Bella’s Team: Anne

Bella’s is so proud to work with some amazing beauty, skin and nail therapists and we want you to meet them! The first of our “Meet the Team” series is Bella’s Owner, Anne.

Tell us a bit about yourself! How long have you been in the beauty industry?
I have worked in health care for around 20 years, and for over 12 years in plastic surgery at one of Perth’s major hospitals.  Plastic surgery in the public health system is not glamorous, we mostly treat terrible skin conditions like skin cancers which require expensive creams which cause nasty skin reactions or ultimately surgical intervention which can cause terrible scarring and disfigurement.  We also treat breast cancer patients.  From this background I felt the desire to contribute to and educate people on the importance of skin health and being aware of the harsh Australian climate and how to look after their skin to avoid the nasties.

When my daughter decided she wanted to pursue her career in the beauty industry I was very supportive and before long she was qualified and gained experience in a lovely beauty spa in the Perth hills. We then decided that we would like to run our own business and searched far and wide for an established salon which lived up to our expectations and one which we knew would provide us with the base we needed to develop our own dreams.  In 2015 we bought Bella’s Skin Care Centre and have not looked back.

What is your favourite treatment to have done at Bella’s?
My favourite treatment at Bella’s would have to be our facials. Our Medik8 facials are amazing which I have regularly to keep up my skins health.  Healthy skin is crucial when having skin needling, IPL or peels, this is how you gain the best results. Another favourite treatment at the moment would be our new Yumi Lash Lift which gives amazing results on the natural lash with no need for fake lashes, and the lashes are tinted, lifted and nourished to give the most beautiful result.

What keeps clients coming back to Bella’s?
I definitely think our clients appreciate the personalised service and friendly and caring atmosphere at Bella’s.  All our therapists are knowledgable and can advise of treatments and products to gain superior results.  It doesn’t matter if you are coming to see us for an eyebrow shape or an IPL rejuvenation, you will always be treated with the utmost care and respect. At Bella’s you are not just another client, but part of the Bella’s family.

When you’re not working, what are some of your favourite things to do to unwind?
My favourite thing to do when I am not working is spending time with my beautiful family in our little piece of paradise in the Perth Hills.  My therapy would definitely be baking and cooking up family feasts.

What is your number one beauty tip?
My biggest beauty tip is definitely protect yourself from the sun. Clothing, hat, sunscreen. Just do it, your skin will thank you.  My other beauty tip is sleep! Get lots of sleep so your body can restore and rejuvenate, repair and synthesise hormones.  And if I had to pick a third, it would be Medik8’s Philosophy “CSA” which keeps skin care simple:

• Followed by Sunscreen
• Vitamin A in the evening

What’s in store for the future of Bella’s?
Our main goal is to achieve amazing results in all aspects of beauty for our lovely clients in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.  We also want to move to our own larger premises in about 2 years time, one which will allow us to offer our clients a relaxation area in which they can totally unwind with a herbal tea, and a designated Mani and Pedi area.  We also are continuing to research and add treatments and products which provide a holistic solution to our targeted skin care concerns. We have an exciting new innovative Australian health and beauty supplement  that naturally replenishes the body’s collagen levels from within to address the signs of aging from within.
