Meet the Bella’s Team: Sharnie

This month, we are excited to introduce you to our amazing Senior Therapist Sharnie. If you’ve been to Bella’s, you’ll definitely have seen Sharnie’ s smiling face around! Sharnie specializes in Bio Sculpture Gel Nails, eyelash extensions, IPL hair removal and skin rejuvenation. Sharnie also has a Graduate Certificate in Intense Pulsed Light and Laser Hair Reduction, so is fully qualified in the use of our state of the art Spectrum IPL machine.

 Tell us a bit about yourself! How long have you been in the beauty industry?
I have been in the industry for over 12 years now. I love the difference you can make and how something as simple as a brow wax or nails can instantly make the clients day and lift their spirits.

Having been in this industry for a while now it’s also great to see how technology has improved over the years. From waxing and tinting to nail systems that are healthy for the nails and don’t damage them, to IPL and Dermapen for the skin.  I have been with the salon for over 7 years. I started out part time and have worked my way up. Our amazing clients have made coming to work not feel like work at all, it’s a big extension of the family!

 What is your favourite treatment to have done at Bella’s?
How can I pick one?! For my skin would have to be a Microdermabrasion. It’s the ultimate treatment for instant smooth skin, removal of dry dead skin cells, clearing up congestion and removing blackheads. Another favourite would have to be a Shellac Pedicure. Shellac/EVO doesn’t chip so you don’t have to worry about polish. It’s instantly dry so no smudging and there is nothing better than having smooth heels after a nice pedicure!

When you’re not working – what are some of your favourite things to do to unwind?
I like to read and spending time with family. There is nothing better than spending quality time cooking a meal and then sitting down to share it together.

What is your number one beauty tip?
Besides always wearing sunscreen and reapplying it during the day, my biggest tip is cleansing and exfoliating. Medik8 have a cleanser that does both, which is so handy! I use Cream Cleanse in the shower which removes makeup, cleans the skin and exfoliates so skin feels great after.

What is the best thing about working at Bella’s?
Working with such a great team and amazing clients! There is such a friendly and comfortable environment at Bella’s so everyone feels at home right away. I also love following our client’s journeys. Having been at Bella’s for so long it’s great to see the change in clients over the years, helping them achieve their beauty and skin goals is an amazing thing to be a part of.
