What is Skin Needling?
Skin Needling also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, is the latest skin rejuvenation treatment to restore the healthy youthful appearance of your skin, with minimal or no downtime.
Skin Needling causes “micro-injuries” to the skin to trigger the healing and repair process. Part of the body’s natural healing process is collagen synthesis (the making of collagen). Triggering the healing process means triggering the production of collagen. It is this production of collage which acts to repair the damage to your skin which results in smoother, firmer and younger looking skin.
Skin Needling is suitable for treating all skin types, including ethnic skin and can be used to treat the fragile skin around the eyes, mouth and nose.
How should I prepare my skin before having a Dermapen treatment?
To get the best results it is a good idea to use an active treatment cream containing Vitamin A and C to allow the skins strength to build up for 1 – 3 weeks prior to your treatment and for 6 weeks afterwards.
How long should it take before I see results?
Typically, you will see results after the first treatment. Lasting, and more significant results will occur after 4-6 treatments (spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Your skin will continue to improve over the next 6 – 12 months after a course of treatments and when combined with the recommended post-treatment care.
Is the skin needling treatment painful?
We recommend a topical anaesthetic cream be applied before your treatment which ensures a virtually pain-free experience.
Is there any downtime after skin needling treatments?
Generally no, but you may experience facial redness for 12-48 hours after the treatment. Most people are able to return to normal daily activities immediately after the treatment.
How many skin needling treatments are recommended (general guide):
- Rejuvenation: 3-4 treatments 4 weeks apart
- Acne scarring: 4-6 treatments 6 weeks apart
- Stretch marks: up to 10 treatments 4-6 weeks apart.
What to expect:
First your face will be cleansed and numbing cream applied and left for 15 to 20 minutes. The numbing cream will then be removed and your face cleansed with an antiseptic and your treatment will then commence. You should feel on minor, if any, discomfort, only slight pressure. On completion of your treatment a soothing mask will be applied to reduce redness and calm the skin.
You will be provided with an After Care Kit with your first treatment if you have bought a series and we will educate you on how to use the products.

Chemical Peels Fremantle
How do chemical peels work?
Chemical peels work to break down proteins within the skin and result in exfoliation of superficial skin cells. They remove damaged or abnormal cells in order to replace with healthy cells.
Objectives of a chemical peel:
- purify and oxygenate the skin
- close open pores and improve texture
- increase thickness of the epidermis
- soften wrinkles
- unify skin tone
- lighten pigmentation
- reduce manifestations of acne
- improve the appearance of scars
- treat rosacea and redness
- treat aging & sun damaged skin
Our dermal peels are a professional strength blend of active vitamins, peptides and antioxidants with carefully chosen AHA (alpha hydroxyl acids), BHA (beta hydroxyl acids) and enzymes to treat pigmentation, congestion, ageing and acne.
Chemical Peels at Bella’s Skin Care Centre
SUPERFICIAL PEELS – $ 89
These peels are a “lunchtime” procedure which exfoliates the top layers of the skin resulting in a lighter, brighter and healthier complexion.
Enzyme/Glycolic/Lactic/Mandelic/Salicylic: These peels are suitable for most skin types and perfect for gentle skin rejuvenation without any downtime. They can be used to treat congestion, mild acne, sun damage and mild pigmentation resulting an overall youthful and glowing appearance.
Superficial peels require virtually no downtime with no visible peeling to mild peeling. This means you can carry on with your normal daily routine.
MEDIUM DEPTH PEELS – $99
These peels result in slightly longer down time and with more of a peeling effect afterwards. Medium depth peels penetrate deeper into the skin and are good for treating sun damage, scarring, acne and fine lines/wrinkles. There is a slightly longer down time and less treatments are required.
Jessners Peel – $110
Jessners Peel is dubbed the “party peel”. A combination of lactic, salicylic and citric acid. Ideal for treating dull, wrinkled, sensitive and dark skins as well as aging, superficial scarring and light pigmentation. This peel achieves recovery of lost skin tone, texture and luminosity.
How many treatments will I need?
4-6 peels at weekly intervals are recommended for noticeable improvements. More or less may be required depending on the condition being treated, your desired results, the strength of the peels and home skin care regimen. Once you have achieved your desired results, maintenance peels are recommended at 2-3 monthly intervals combined with a daily AHA skin care regime to retain the benefits. The ongoing skin care program uses advanced skin care products that contain a therapeutic level of AHA’s at an active pH and other active ingredients.

The ultimate facial exfoliation, Dermapod Microdermabrasion uses advanced medical grade technology to exfoliate the epidermis of the skin. Crystal resurfacing improves the overall texture of the skin leaving your skin feeling fresh and smooth with a vibrant glow.
Microdermabrasion is a non-chemical, non-invasive procedure that uses a spray of microcrystals to remove the outermost layer of dry, dead skin cells to reveal younger, healthier-looking skin. It treats fine lines and wrinkles, age spots, pigmentation, rough uneven skin, blackheads, acne and large pores.
Microdermabrasion is perfect for the treatment of fine lines, pigmentation, congestion, breakouts and improving overall tone and texture of dull and lacklustre skin. So, no matter what skin concerns you have, microdermabrasion is suitable for just about anything
The crystal resurfacing process improves the overall texture of the skin leaving skin feeling fresh and smooth with a vibrant glow.
This treatment is suitable for most skin types but we advise seeking medical advice first if you have a pre-existing skin condition such as rosacea, eczema, dermatitis, active sunburn, herpes, lupus, open sores, psoriasis, fragile capillaries or widespread acne.
Post-treatment, clients can expect a little bit of redness, but unlike stronger peels, you won’t experience any peeling or flaking of the skin. Microdermabrasion is not a painful procedure at all. Skin may feel a little sensitive afterwards but the most you will feel during the treatment is a slight sucking sensation, like a little mini vacuum cleaner going over the skin to clear out those pores! If you’ve never had a microdermabrasion treatment before and are unsure of what to expect, please call us at the salon and have a chat to one of our experienced therapists who will be happy to answer any questions.
